That was interesting… as a mixed guy, I always had an interest on identity issues.

Things were made a bit easier for me (my dad is mixed black/white 50/50, my mom is black, but everybody has been raised the congolese way) but I couldn’t help but notice how some other mixed people around me (specifically those with parents of different backgrounds) had identity issues struggling to clearly positionning themselves.

I never realized that there was this entire mixed population (latinos) which had those very issues on a cultural level. Glad to see that those speaking are quite confident about themselves and acknowledge both of their inheritances.
